Harvest Heroes helps the people of Marin County share their excess fruit and vegetables with local food donation organizations to prevent food waste, reduce hunger and make a difference for those in our local community.
Our harvests include driving to the homes of local backyards with abundant produce and gleaning the fruit off the trees for redistribution. These fruit-collecting harvests are an outdoor activity that is a good way to give back to your community while having fun. Volunteers pick and sort the fruit at these homes, and there are many different tasks for most physical abilities, whether that be picking the fruit or dropping it off for our organization at the local food bank.
To get started, please sign up for a harvest opportunity with our Volunteer Registration form below.
